The deciding factors are almost always the substrate (surface energy, curvature, roughness), the adhesive (tack level and chemistry) and the liner (thickness and stiffness for your die-cutting and high-speed application). Two constructions with the same face stock can behave very differently on the line — which is why this catalogue fixes all three layers per code rather than listing face stock alone.
